You can buy some very nice JD7000 4RW planters nowadays for about 1000 dollars, as all the big boys have long since sold them. They are perfect for acreage and food plots. They are towed, with the right cups you can do corn beans, sorgham, sunflowers, and you get automatic hydraulic markers. And you can fertilize in the same pass. One thing JD did right. With the correct springs and furrow openers (Kinze) you can even no till, or min till.
