I can do a paint job that costs anywhere from $250 to well over $3000 depending on what a person wants in the end. Really no way to give an estimate without knowing exactly what you want in the end and what there is to start with. Examples... For $250 I would probably hit it with a wire brush, prime it and spray it with 2150 paint. Not much hand sanding if any at all. For more $$ I would have the tractor sandblasted, prime it, hand sand the tin work, prime again, hand sand tin work again, then put on a couple coats of 2150... or better paint for more $$ still. The PPG acrylic urethane that I like is around $50 per pint, plus the cost of reducer and hardener. As you can see there are many variables when it comes to painting and you want to be sure your painter knows your budget and what you expect when it's done...
