yeah a bit much. around here in decent shape which i will consider mine after i fix the deck is around 400$. They are great running machines!! We only ever stopped using it cause the deck spindle bearings were noisy and there was a couple of holes rusted through it. You can ind the deck new anymore, they are on ebay every now and then and they sell between 50 and 200 depending on condition and location (usually local pickup only). Let just hope I can weld this thin metal with a stick welder, i got some 1.16th inch rods, so I'll give it a go, if Its horrible, I'll see if my friend can do it, his got a mig
