If the tactor will not move without hydraulic pressure for the steering the TA low side clutch is worn out. After makng sure the filter is clean and the fluid level is OK, if you still have problems, try adding five to eight gallons of HyTran above the full mark on the stick. If that cures the problem just run it that way. It is possible that the quad ring is leaking between the clutch housing and the rear frame. It may not leak enough to cause problems while running but it can allow air to enter while not being used. A worn punp may take quite a while to pump out this air when first started. Over filling will ensure that the quad ring seal stay below the oil level so that air cannot enter.
