Hi Tom, yes for $3500 with loader you did get a good deal. The I&T Shop Service manual has the instructions to replace the hydraulic pump. It is behind the MCV valve driven by the PTO shaft. If you do replace the pump, you may want to look at replacing it with the higher capacity 17GPM pump. My brother bought a used 3230(sames as 584) but it has the 17GPM pump and when we transferred the loader from his 495 he was amazed at how much faster the loader lifted with the 17GPM pump. Please lets us know the solution to your hydraulic problems. JimB
