A couple of weeks ago I asked for location of serial #"s on a Farmall A. Thanks to AL CT & Ron in MO, but this tractor has a different seat than most A"s. Kind of like a H with the big spring and shock, no tag there. There is no shield around the brake and clutch so no tag there. The machined place under #1 plug has no numbers stamped there. Here is a number on the right side of the block (2 : 25 : K). I think this is the engine #, If so can anyone tell me the year this engine was made. As you can see I know very little about farmalls, restoring for a friend. This tractor has no place for a starter, would that make this an older A? Would this seat be original, does not look like a made up job? The fact there is on shield around the brake and clutch, could it be there never was one or lost? The parts book has a complete different seat arrangement. the only thing that looks like the book in the platform you put your feet on. Thanks for all your help! dale

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
