The S tell you the tractor has (torque amplifier with provision for independent PTO) the torque was the weak part or maybe just something that goes out, if it is out it will cost five hunderd for a rebuilt TA plus labor to put it in. IH made a 2 pt. conversion that converts 2pt. into 3pt.. Seen two of them the other day. I think they look like a quick hitch used on tractors today. Torque Amplifier on the side means, tractor should have TA shift, shift on the go without clutching, for the tuff spots, a gear reduction unit between the clutch and transmission. You will find out that the TA WILL FREE WHEEL on the low side and letting them free wheel will wear out the rollers in the TA. I'm putting a TA in a 350 diesel I just bought. The 450 with good TA could be worth twenty-five hundred.
