I know that contentious issues do not belong on this forum but first I must share the grief of those whose loved ones have lost their lives. OK, I am a Canadian and proud of it. I also hate guns. As a kid we lived with guns. If we did not get a moose or 3-4 deer in the fall, we would have to kill a steer or heifer to get through the winter. My Mom used to can the 100 or so ducks we shot in our grain fields every fall. For three years I was Range Officer at our local army base teaching cadets safe handling of firearms. So..I have some idea what I am talking about. I still have a single shot 12 gauge and 22 to deal with farm emergencies. I had to use one last week. Anyway I feel that anything other that hunting or target weapons do not belong in our society and that includes all handguns and rapid fire weapons. Sorry for the rant. Karl
