If the PTO linkage is missing then the valve will not stay down and this will allow for partical engage pressure to start locking up the clutch pack. Now if and when ya put linkage back on it and it is still doing this then (1 ) your PTO brake buttons are wore out (2) clutch pack is welded together from slipage. . And before ya just start tearing things apart get a Book as it just does not come STRIGHT OUT .
