I had a buzy afternoon taking wires loose and checking them with an ohm meter that is how I found some of the VR wires were wrong and used one of the diagrams online to check stuff. I did put a new regulator on today. Also before I did anything I had the battery gen and starter tested at the Parts store and the gen put out 12+ volts on their tester but doesn't put out squat on the tractor. All in all the tractor looks to be used lightly and is not cobbled up at all, it appears to even have the original tires on it all matched goodyears. someone must have put some good money into it and even looks to have a new wiring harness. The regulator that was on it did have 2 coils inside and 4 terminals, Is that the kind of regulator that works with the 3 brush genny?
