Leaking gas line connection

i just finished putting a new radiator on my 52 cub, and when i was putting the cover back on the tractor,
i ran into a problem with the gas line. when i went to reconnect the gas line to the sediment bowl, i found that
the brass gasket on the gas line had pushed all the way to the end of the line. so when i reconnected the line
to the bowl, and turned on the gas, it started dripping. no matter how much i tightened gas still poured.
when i removed the line, the gasket had come off from the line and was sitting in the receptor. can someone
give me some advice on how to fix this, and the specs for placement of the gasket. thanks.
