Clutch for F12

I am restoring my grandfather's 1936 F12 Farmall. Clutch will not disengage; I have tried putting in a used pressure plate and clutch on an 8" flywheel. I have also tried a 9" flywheel and pressure plate. There seems to be too much travel between the through out bearing and the pressure plate. The through out bearing appears to be fully engaged but yet the clutch will not release. I have made a temporary clutch linkage to make sure the clutch is fully engaged; still will not release. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
