The 806 has just one oil light for both the engine and the transmission lube. Since the light comes on in the TA forward position and not the rear, you have enough oil leakage in the TA assembly to cause the lube pressure to drop off enough to turn on the light. If this only happens at idle it is not too serious a problem. If it is still on above 1000 RPM, you are probably starving the TA/transmission lube circut. The reason the light goes off with the brakes being applied is that the 806 uses an open center brake control valve. There is a flow of 3 gallons per minute coming from the steering circut that is used for brakes and TA operation. One gallon of this flow goes to the brakes. When the brakes are applied this one gallon flow is diverted to the brake pistons and so is no longer returning to the sump until the pedals are released. This gives you an additional gallon of fluid for TA and lube circut while the brakes are applied causing the light to go off. Later tractors used a closed center brake valve so that the 3 GPM flow was always available to the TA and lube circuts.
