If you have the original arm on there and not one from another tractor then I might be able to help some. The spring is about 2 3/4 inches long and has a gap of about 1 1/4. I looked and looked for one and ended up getting a compression spring from Fastenal. The gauge and length were right but the opening was a little to small. I heated it up and bent it open some then stuck it on a 1" water pipe and just beat it til it was back straight and loked right. The part number was 110166728. There are two in the bag so if you mess up one theres always a spare. Cost $5.85. #54 compression spring.
