Is this a 12v Gen?

I looked at a '44 H close to my home today. Not sure on the price yet, I'm guessing I'll offer $500 since it doesn't run and needs a number of parts. Motor has been rebuilt and was working fine so I'm told, but the tractor quit for some unknown reason and they were unable to get it started again. The farm is converting to vinyards, so the M's and H are too big, so the owner is selling. Anyway, I didn't meet the owner, as he was working out of town. But a mutual friend is putting us together for this deal. He's the one who showed me the H. He said it was a 12v conversion. Let me ask you, is this a 12v gen? I'm assuming the square box behind the block is a voltage regulator?
