Gramps ran a 706 with a fast hitch 4x16 plow (don't remember the model) for years on his farm. Never had trouble until he tried to plow a field that hadn't been touched in 10 years. Ended up cutting it down to 3 to get the job donw. Your 706 shouldn't have any problem with 3 bottoms.
