The plow should float without any up or down pressure from the fast hitch. The bottom of the plow will seek a level that makes it parallel with the surface of the ground (you have to adjust the height of the pivot point of the hitch, roughly under the steering wheel as I recall). Try to find something like a curb or dropoff where the wheels are on ground about 6-8 inches higher than the plow and make whatever adjustments you can see that will make the plow parallel with the wheels but the desired plowing depth below them.
