The others are right I have ran a 49 C since 1975 and it has never held over 15 lbs hot. A smart man I knew told me if one held what some gauges claimed 70 or 80 lbs it would blow things apart. He also claimed as long as you had 4 to 7 lbs it was perfectly fine. He worked for IH dealor in Cynthiana Ky for 48 years. Folks around there said he was the best letter series man in the country. By the time I knew him he was to old to do much, but he could sure tell about Farmalls from front to back.
