I would bet the problem is as Gene suggested. When I did an A it was loaded with dirt and crud around those sleeves. I had the sleeves out, so I steam cleaned the block. That's a good area for a leak too is around those seals on the sleeves.
If the sleeves are ever pulled that block area needs to be cleaned very well. Hal
