To remove the main cap stick both main bolts into the cap and hold them pulled together as tight as ya can and with a hammer hit the bolts from side to side worken the cap back and forth while putting and up pull on them she will pop wright out . Getting a crank out of a stuck engine can be a fun but it can be done.
