Bob - Doesn't sound like something that can be fixed out in the woods. Your description sounds like the throwout bearing self-destructed or maybe a clutch finger broke. If so you'll need to split the tractor to make repairs. As for towing it with another tractor, simply put the gear lever into neutral before you start out. It'll roll along just fine with no parts inside the clutch housing turning. Just make sure it's got good, working brakes before towing it up/down any hills!!
