From the info you are telling me, I still would suspect the MCV pump. 15 years of normal use is about the life expectancy of these pump, especially if the Hy-Tran has not been changed like it should be. Worn pumps show up like you describe, when it's cold out, it takes forever to get power steering, TA, brakes. Also, if your red TA light works, does it flicker on/off when you idle the tractor down after a good day's work when the tranny gets good and warm? That's another tell-tale sign. By the way, the O-ring Miles is talking about is between the front & rear halves of the trans. to get to it. You have to split the tractor to change that o-ring, not an easy task.
