Only drove one tractor with a unit like that installed and it was a long time ago. Can't remember for sure but I think the one I used required the main transmission to be in neutral and then engage the aftermarket gear box to give a speed between fourth and fifth. Does the one you have work like that? Like you I could never find a name on the housings. Think someone posted in a past forum the company that made them. Hope someone with more information will post. I think the units are rare and have no idea what there worth.
