I have converted 2 tractors and really like the ei. Both of mine were also converted to 12 volt negative ground before the ei conversion. Points and conderser work just as good as long as the points are set correctly. They just don't seem to stay that way. On both of my tractors I had trouble keeping points at right setting. If you use the tractor a lot and are replacing points and condensor on a regular basis the ei will pay for tiself. Be sure to get the right one, for the tractor voltage and ground. I don't think you will ever regret the conversion. Keep the old parts in case you want to change it back to"original" someday.
