An expert welder can repair whatever damage and than add a sealer over it. We repaired the bottom of a M diff. housing back in the early '60's and did not have the sealers that we have today. That tractor is still in use today. This is the best answer I can give without seeing the damage. Do not give up the repair option too soon! Armand
