I suppose there is a possibility that if you will carefully re-torque the head bolts to factory specs, you may gain some better sealing (you listening RED, huh??) From the I&T shop manual, for the A-B-C series tractors, "tighten the stud nuts evenly and to a torque of 65 ft.-lbs." The prior owner may not have had a torque-wrench and may have been afraid to pull them down too hard. Try it, drain the oil, operate it carefully - look for coolant. If not help, sorry - tear down time. RKS
