I asked this question some time ago here on the IH forum and just started getting this done for my friend today. My original question was "how many drain plugs are there to drain the tranny/hydraulic fluid on a 1206 turbo tractor. One response I got said 5, three on the bottom of the tranny and then one in each axle housing. So today I drain the tranny and there are only 3 drain plugs, one for the tranny (under the big drawbar) and then two smaller ones for the axles. The axle ones are not continuous with the tranny hytrans fluid, they have regular gear lube oil in them (I left that stuff in each axle). I got almost 60 litres (15 US gallons) out of the center plug for the tranny (which I think is close to the specification but I'm not sure). I cannot find any other drain plugs there on the bottom of the transmission. Is there only the one plug or am I still missing two more?
