The tranny and the axel and the pto get their oil from the same source. And yes the big plug up by the gear shift is where you fill it. There is a check plug I think on the left hand side toward the rear on the rear end. Holds around 5 gal of 90 weight oil. As far a motor oil they call for 30 weight but 10-40 or 15-40 of whatever your brand is will be fine. I do my antifreeze just like I do my cars. 50/50. I think you will like your Super C. I love mine. Paul I forgot to say that I use a large ratchet ext. "the square end" to remove those big fill plugs for the rear end.
