i bought a 986 last week.we changed the oil and i sent the boy to go mow hay with it today while i baled at another farm.he called me and said it was making a thumping noise.i told him check it out and call back.he called later and said it had gotten worse and was coming from the air cleaner housing.he said he put his hand up to the air cleaner inlet pipe and said that everytime it thumped it puffed air out. is it a intake valve thats bad? i really cant spare the tractor now, thats why i bought it.any ideas?
