Just a thought - I've had stuck engines that I've left soaking for several months before finally pulling the head off, only to discover an inch of water on top of the pistons with the oil floating above that. Did you blow in the spark plug holes with compressed air before putting the trans fluid in? If the engine locked due to water, it could still be sitting on top of the pistons and oil floats on water... Good luck getting it running again!
