If I had the $ would buy it. Chances are the sloppiness in the shifting is the end of the shift lever is worn. Especially likely if it likes to get jammed in 2 gears. Machine shop can rebuild it for fairly cheap. Should look like a T (my old one looked like a bayonet, sure does feel different with the right shape)
