This is my fathers tractor & I brought it to my shop to mess with it. Here's the problem- It runs smooth, so long as you are dripping gas into the breather. Once you stop dripping gas, it shuts down just like it ran out of fuel. Drip a little gas into the breather, hit the stater & she jums to life. My father has cleared the tank & fuel line of obstructions. It has a real good fuel supply at the carb. He has taken the carb apart 5 times, cleaned and reassembled. He claims the float & needle are fine. But he never replaced any of the gaskets (bowl & carb-manifold). I believe by dripping gas into the breather, the fuel supply is increased, richening the air to the point the vaccum leak is overtaken allowing it to run. That's just my opinion from what I have seen. The manifold looks good & so does the gasket. He never removed the manifold. But he did say the symptoms it has today presented itself "overnight". I'm thinking of rebuilding the carb & then moving onto the manifold if it doesn't fix the issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Roy
