Belly pump-liftall

I have redone an farmall H and it was missing the belly pump. I found one and installed it. I am using the tractor on a v wheel rake and starting out it raises and folds the rake fine, but after about 1 to 2 hours later it barely will lift the rake. I took the hose off and it is still pumping oil but must not have enough PSI to raise it. I'm using non detergent 30 weight oil and I have not put a pressure gauge on the line. I'ld appreciate any suggestions.
