Matt,
The hole in the filler cap is a vent and should be there. Sounds like the oil returning from the loader cylinder(s) is returning to the reservoir with enough force to cause the oil to splash out of the vent. Try adding a shield of sorts made of a piece of sheet metal under the cap to keep the oil from splashing out or just lower the bucket slowly. Phil
