Les: No replys yet.. I take a guess that it might be something wrong with your govenor and\or the linkage to the carb. With engin off check play in all the linkage from operator to govenor and over to the carb. Govenor is front right of engine..then start engine and note any changes. The govenor can hold the RPM very close to the operator settings even with high load changing to no load.. Govenor action is normally very good at holding correct RPM.. harvey
