Hey Lyn the filler primer works great for filling pits but it cost alot more than regular primer. (filler primer 3131 pgp paints)..........but it is no good unless you kill the rust, that extend is some good stuff.Wire wheel the rust as much as possible. Extend will turn the rust black and you can even sand it for primer application. And if your pits still show thru after wet sanding use spot puddy for the final slicking out. It works for me......
