Farmall A Quit

I have a Farmall A that after about 45 minutes of running real nice, just quit. Now when you try to start it, it gives a couple of chugs and dies again. Also the smoke looks white coming from the exhaust. It has new plugs and points. It was also recently overhauled but then sat for a number of years. The tractor cranks real good and always started and ran nice.
