I have a super a that has a 5 foot woods belly mower. I had the same problem with the one I have and finally was able to fix it. It turned out that some one had manufactured some parts for the mower that allowed them to use a belt that was much too short.I went to a Woods dealer and looked at a print of the installation and bought the correct belt. When I got the right belt it was then obvious that there were some wrong parts . They had completely changed the geometry of the belt system which made the belt have to make its twists in too short of space and also the idlers were not near the pivot point of the mower deck which also made the belt tension change when you raised and lowered the deck. I would definately make sure that you have the right belt and also there is a proper way to route the belt and also a proper way to twist the belt which is very important. Good luck
