We have used Valvoline 10w30 in our 46 M working tractor, though not so much work for last few years. Been 20 years since first got it and rebuilt engine and there hasn't seem to have been any ill effects on it yet. Regular oil and filter changes over the 20 years has helped more than type of oil I think. Straight or multi, doubt it makes much differance.
