Buying Farmall H

MY son is 9 years old and has been saving to buy his first tractor. He is looking at a Farmall H. It has two tubes on radiator broken which will need to be repaired. Also, the oil pan has a leak where it hit something. It has jb weld on it but I can probably fix it a little better. Otherwise, runs and starts great. It has steel spoke wheels and 90-95% rubber on rear and new front tires. I don't know much about farmalls but probably will get to know this one well. Will he be doing ok to pick this up for $700. Also, if anyone has pulled this model, I would be interested in knowing how it does. Thanks for any help you might have
