Sounds like the engine is starving for gas. Any chance the gas filler cap is not vented? How long do you have to wait to restart once it stops? Have you varified that you have spark when it dies? I would consider replacing the condenser and substituting the coil. If you have spark, try squirting some gas into the carb immediately after it dies and see if the the tractor restarts. The float in the carb could be sticking closed and not allowing fuel in. Posts more info as to how everything is behaving if you do not get it fixed. Good luck
