Farmall cub carb mystery

I can't get the carb for my cub to work right. Tractor idles perfectly, but when put under load it stalls. Adjusted the float, changed main jets, cleaned with carb cleaner. It is a pieced carb top from one bottom from other. I have another cub and exchanged the carb and it works fine. Any ideas? Scott.
