Here I go, an old country boy getting confused again. My Dad bought my Super A new in 1950 and I am still working it. The lifting bar was, and still is, as straight as an arrow. We hit a stump one time and bent it, so we just took the spring off and slipped a 1" pipe over it and welded both ends. I've done a few for friends like that too when theirs get bent or weak. I have seen on here from time to time about bent lift bars, but never seen a factory bent one. I have over 2" clearance between the lift bar and left rear fender.
