Charles, Your six volt system should be set up for positive ground. I used to know the reason but have forgotten, but for some reason a six volt system works more effecient with a positive ground. On a 12 volt system a positive or negative ground is equally efficient but all manufacturers standardized on a negative 12 volt ground. Harold H
