When its cold, where is the needle pointing at? If it is just between the letter o and I then I would plan on dropping the oil pan and make sure the inlet screen is clean. If it is, then I got a feeling the 2 gears in the oil pump are worn. I went through this problem on my 51H. Cleaning the screen made a big difference but I finally swapped oil pumps and it made a big difference. When that guage is near the red you will not have enough proper lubrication.
