Oil Pressure Super C

Im using SAE40 weight oil, and after about an hour in the field the pressure drops near the red.
My guess is that the conditions (90 degrees)are too harsh for this old beast. I have been running it for quick chores with the oil pressure normal. There are no abnormal noises and the water temp is normal.
Im new to the old tractors, so any advice would be appreciated before I start looking at mechanical problems. Thanks in advance.
