Greetings! My father has a Super A Farmall that we use for cultivating tobacco and vegetables. A problem has developed with the wiring; the battery will not charge, and discharges with use, so that it occasionally quits in the field, and has to be kept on trickle charge when not in use. We have had the generator checked out, and it checks OK. It is still a 6-volt system, has not been converted, and he's pretty sure it's positive ground. Not being real familiar with automotive-type wiring, I'm not sure. We have a new voltage regulator for it, and I've heard some comment about "polarizing" the regulator before installing it, but did not know how this is accomplished. I purchased an IT&T manual which was supposed to cover the Super A, and does, everything except electrical system! I would like to completely rewire the tractor, but hate to purchase ANOTHER shop manual just for this purpose. Any suggestions? km
