706D won't start when hot! Good cold starter!

A friend of mine has a Farmall 706D with the 282 engine. It starts good when cold but won't start when hot. Batteries are only 2 years old and engine has some blow-by but not bad. Since the tractor was purchased used, he doesn't know if the starter has been rebuilt or replaced. A mechanic suggested that it might be the head pressure in the injector pump thats causing the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
