OK John I will give you a quick wing walk. This assumes you don't have a bunch of modifications and everything is intact. When you are sitting in the seat and grinning. Start button should be mounted on the left of the steering post across from the light switch box. Throttle lever is mounted on top of the steering post. Lever sticks to the right. Try starting it with it pulled up about 1/2 of its travel length. On the light box, rotate the switch all the way counter clockwise for low charge. The switch is low charge, hi charge, dim lights and bright lights as you rotate clockwise. Below the light box should be a square piece of steel with 4 holes. Upper left hole should have the choke rod with a curved end. Pull out to choke. Upper right hole may or may not have a lever that operated the radiator shutters. Most folks pulled this out. Lower right hole should have a pull type ignition switch. Pull out to have ignition. Left of the ign. switch is a straight thick shaft with a 100 degree bend in the end. It operates the belt pulley assembly that is in front of the two brakes. Push in clutch, push in rod to engage, let out clutch. This was an option. You might not have it. Lever that is above the 2 brakes is the liftall lever. Again an option. You may not have it. Two brake pedals are together on the right side of the deck. Clutch pedal on the left side of the deck. Shift pattern. Upper left is reverse. Lower left is 1. Upper middle 2, lower middle3. Upper right is 4. Lower right is 5, road gear. PTO lever is at the rear of your seat on the left side. Stick in clutch, pull up on lever to engage, let out clutch. Good luck!
