Hello, Convinced that the Ford 861, with a loader, and brush cutter, is a machine that is to long and to heavy to mow our fieldy, woodsy, wet and rocky property my family has condescended to allow me to GET ANOTHER TRACTOR!!! I looked at a 1950 farmall cub with a Mott hammer knife underbelly mower and a front plow with down pressure. The tractor ran soundly enough (what farmall wouldn't) but it looked 1) like the pto seal leaked, 2) the left rear seal leaked, 3) the engine looked like it leaked(not enough to make a difference) all over, 4) the exhaust was jury rigged flex pipe, 5) the tires were on the second half of their lives, 6) it looked it's age. The guy wants 2K and we are in the state of CT. I would appreciate any comments, suggestions, ideas, thoughts in general. Also if anyone has experience with mott knife mowers, I would appreciate any information. Thanks Chris
